Ciara Lankford has called Charlotte home for 7 years. She joined Queen City News in 2016 after working as a Digital Content Producer in Roanoke, Virginia, and Hagerstown, Maryland.
Ciara was born and raised in Connecticut. Go Red Sox!
During her time here, Ciara has helped cover some of the biggest stories across the Carolinas on Queen City News’ digital platforms including the 2016 Keith Scott protests in uptown, the 2016 and 2020 Presidential Election, the devastation and impact of 2018’s Category 4 Hurricane Florence, and the ever-evolving effects of the Coronavirus pandemic across the Carolinas.
When Ciara isn’t monitoring push alerts, email, and making sure she knows what’s happening in Charlotte at any given time, you’ll find her spending time with family and friends at one of her favorite restaurants, or tackling the next DIY project. Ciara recently fulfilled a longtime dream of becoming a mom and welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the family. She couldn’t be happier!
