John Le

John Le is constantly in search of stories with humor, heart, and humanity here in Charlotte. He came to Queen City News to find the often-overlooked stories of people in the area.

John and his wife Alicia are excited about being closer to family and exploring this part of North Carolina.

He is originally from Southern California but spent two decades at WLOS-TV in Asheville, where he became known for telling great human interest stories. Before that, John was a reporter for KHOG-TV in Fayetteville, Arkansas (yes those are really the call letters).

He’s earned a reputation as one of the top storytellers in the Southeast and across the country, with more than 20 Emmys and five Edward R. Murrow Awards. John has twice been a national finalist for the National Press Photographers Association Photojournalism Award for Reporting. The Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas twice named him North Carolina Reporter of the Year.
