Savannah Rudicel

Savannah Rudicel joined the Queen City News team in September 2021. She reports for Queen City News Now from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Savannah comes to the Queen City from Kansas City, Missouri. There she covered breaking news, severe weather, and K-12 education issues. She reported on an EF-4 tornado in Linwood, KS, and the town’s rebuilding efforts. Her favorite assignment was getting to tell the stories of Kansas City Chiefs fans leading up to the team’s Super Bowl LIV win.

Savannah earned her journalism degree at the University of Missouri. During her time at school, she worked at KOMU 8 News in Columbia, MO where she reported, anchored, and produced newscasts. Savannah was selected to report internationally from Stockholm, Sweden as an MU professor emeritus won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 2018.

Savannah grew up on the Kansas side of the Kansas City metro.

She is a rowdy Chiefs fan, a mildly talented snowboarder, and has never met a cat she doesn’t love.
