Taylor joined the Queen City News team in April of 2021 as the Chief Business Correspondent. From then on, she has tackled the region’s latest economic developments, financial trends impacting North Carolinians, and supply chain issues that have arisen as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A Massachusetts native, Taylor knew she wanted to be a news reporter at 8-years-old. Fourteen years later, she graduated from Lyndon State College in Vermont with an Electronic Journalism Arts degree. Soon after, she joined the WCAX news team in Burlington, Vermont quickly working her way up to the weekend anchor.
Taylor first called North Carolina home in 2019, landing a job at WLOS as a reporter and fill-in anchor. There she found her love for the business beat while covering the impact of chain stores on rural Western Carolina, and the economic impact of the pandemic on small businesses.
Over her six years in the journalism industry, Taylor has followed politicians on the campaign trail, covered national weather events, and exposed a photographer leaking naked pictures of clients online.
In her spare time, you can catch Taylor snowboarding on the slopes, checking out a local brewery, or reading in the park.
