CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – One person has been seriously injured and another is at home recovering following an accident Friday involving an ambulance, Medic confirmed.
The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, on South Tryon and Tyvola Centre Drive.
Medic reports that an ambulance, with two employees inside, were on their way to Medic’s headquarters at the end of their shift when the accident occurred.
One Medic employee was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and is back home recovering. The second employee was not injured in the crash, they said.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident has been transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
