CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A person was shot to death in northeast Charlotte Tuesday night, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Police said the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on the 500 block of Sugar Creek Road near Cinderella Road.

Officers arrived and discovered a person with a gunshot wound. They were pronounced dead on the scene.

No additional information was immediately available.
