One dead in shooting at South Charlotte apartment complex

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) — One person is dead in a shooting on the 7700 block of Waterford Glen Loop in South Charlotte near Charlotte Catholic High School.

Officers responded to calls regarding gunshots around 3 p.m. on Friday near 7700 Waterford Glen Loop.

A man was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on the scene by Medic.

CSI, the DA’s Office, victim services, and CFD were among the departments that responded to the scene.

There is no mention of an arrest at this time and this remains an active investigation.
