CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — It was a scary situation for one mail carrier Monday evening as strong storms rolled through Charlotte

High winds and rain brought part of a tree crashing down on The Plaza.

Kristen Wile tweeted out a picture of the large tree branch that had fallen on top of a United States Postal truck on The Plaza.

“Someone is looking out for Ida. No injuries, but a scary tree fall on The Plaza,” the tweet reads in part.

Mail carriers are tough. Despite the “minor” set back, Ida still delivered her packages.

Ida truly lives up to the saying, “neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.”
