MATTHEWS, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — West John Street is closed in both directions between Covenant Church Lane and Ames Street because of a wreck, according to the Matthews Police Department.
Police are asking the public to avoid the area. Two possible detours are E. Independence Boulevard (Highway 74) or Providence Road (N.C. 16).
