Very few around the league and in the Carolina's believed that the Panthers would pull out a victory over the Dallas Cowboys over the weekend, but the self-inflicted penalties and poor offensive line play have created an even louder buzz around this coaching staff.

Bryce Young was sacked seven times on the day and hit a total of 12 times. He had pressure in his face constantly and oftentimes had it milliseconds after the snap hit his hands.

As bad as the protection was, the penalties were even more of a backbreaker. A late hit from Amaré Barno and a facemask/horsecollar by Xavier Woods gifted Dallas a ton of yardage, eventually resulting in a field goal. Later in the game, the Panthers had the Cowboys stopped on 3rd down, setting up another field goal attempt but DeShawn Williams shoved a Cowboy to the ground, resulting in a penalty. A few plays later, Dallas found the end zone.

Despite the continued bad football, head coach Frank Reich told reporters on Monday that he has confidence in the guys on his staff to get things figured out.

"No staff changes. I have not talked about the lineup. I'll meet with the coaches this afternoon. That evaluation is always ongoing. We'll check the injuries here in a couple hours and then we always do a projected inactives, projected depth chart. That's always a Monday afternoon meeting.

"I believe in our guys. Strongly. Players and coaches. Feel great about the staff. We're always looking to get better, every coach, starting with me."
