CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A vehicle accident on Interstate 77 North is causing heavy delays through south Charlotte Wednesday afternoon.
According to N.C. Department of Transportation, it occurred at 2:45 p.m. Nov. 1 at Exit 8 (Remount Road). The right northbound lane is closed, and is expected to be cleared by 4:45 p.m.
An NCDOT camera is showing several cars pulled over on the highway shoulder.
Traffic impacts are expected to be high, and as of 3:20 was backed up to mile marker 4.
